Pilar Garcia is responsible for leading all aspects of Saama’s legal initiatives, including advising on company strategy and implementation. Pilar has more than 20 years of legal and business partnership expertise, with a special focus on international expansion and IP.
Before joining Saama, Pilar was Vice President and Deputy General Counsel at SanDisk Corporation, a Fortune 500 company with a broad flash memory solutions portfolio. There, she led the global Sales, Marketing, Product and Technology legal function, which supported mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments, as well as, helped formulate and execute complex business strategies in multiple countries.
Prior to that, Pilar held several leadership positions at Sun Microsystems’ legal team in support of the software business units, software sales, world-wide operations and the services organizations.
Pilar holds a B.A. from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and a J.D. from Columbia University.
